YFNW Social Media Contest – Official Rules

Contest Duration:

The contest will run from Monday, July 21, 2025 @ 9am to Sunday, August 3, 2025 @11:59pm 

How to Enter:

To enter, participants must:

1. Follow our YFNW page on Facebook or Instagram @yukon_first_nations_wildfire (or both, 1 entry per follow)
2. Like the original giveaway post. (1 entry per Facebook and Instagram post)
3. Tag up to 3 friends in the comments (optional bonus entries, one per tag).

Up to 7 entries per person

Participants must be 14 years of age or older and have parental consent if under 19 years of age. Entrants must be Canadian residents.

Prizes:

• Prize #1 to be drawn at random on Tuesday, July 29th and announced by 4pm on both Facebook and Instagram.
• Prize to be won:

  • 1 x Warrior Program branded beanie
  • 1 x Warrior Program branded water bottle
  • 1 x Warrior Program branded cloth bag

• Prize #2 to be drawn at random on Friday, August 1st and announced by 4pm on both Facebook and Instagram.

  • 1 x Emergency whistle

• Prize #3 (The Grand Prize) to be drawn at random on Monday, August 4th and announced by 4pm on both Facebook and Instagram.

Prizes will be mailed to the randomly selected winners if they reside outside of the Yukon. Winners will be notified on both Facebook and Instagram (if applicable)

Eligibility:

• Open to legal residents of Canada
• Must be 16 years or older to claim prize (those under 16 years of age must have parental consent to enter)
• No purchase necessary
• Not open to current YFNW staff

Contest Terms & Conditions:

• The winners will be chosen at random using a draw tool from all valid entries.
• The winners must respond within 72 hours of being contacted or a new winner will be selected.
•  A total of three prizes will be given away – prize #1 to be drawn on Tuesday, June 29th, 2025, prize #2 to be drawn on Friday, August 1st, 2025, and prize #3 (grand prize) to be drawn on Monday, August 4th, 2025. The winner of prize #1 will still be eligible to win prizes #2 & 3, and the winner of prize #2 will still be eligible to win the grand prize (provided that winners have more than 1 valid entry).
• By entering, participants agree to allow YFNW to announce their name and share their entry for promotional purposes.
• Personal data will only be used for the purpose of administering this contest and will not be shared or stored long-term.
• YFNW reserves the right to modify or cancel the giveaway at any time for any reason.
